KoKo series designed by Kati Tuominen-Niittylä and Kristina Riska is all about colour, and new colours are introduced on a regular basis. In order to avoid growth of the overall number of items, portfolio planning requires colour palette design. As product development time is usually around two years, to choose the right colours is not about spotting the existing trends.
To celebrate 15 years of KoKo in 2020, one old colour from the original launch collection was chosen – lime. Lime was accompanied by two new colours that were inspired by the strong colours already in the collection. Blueberry milk is what you get when you add milk to bluberry – as the name suggest – and cantaloupe is the soft colour buddy of orange.
